President Obama is making major policy changes to fix the broken immigration system. He wants to create more jobs, issue more visas to save one job: his job!

* On July 22, the House Judiciary Committee approved bill to eliminate green card lottery.

* On August 2, the USCIS released new visa policy to attract and retain foreign workers.

* On August 18, the White House announced illegal immigrants could stay and apply for work permit.

The last announcement was the most surprising and controversial. It angered immigration hard-liners and pleased Hispanic advocacy groups. Many legal immigrants also worry about the impact: will we have to wait even longer for green card
