Things to know before you Apply for H1b Visa Program
H1B visa category allows foreign speciality workers to work in a speciality occupation in the United States for a temporary period of three years and it can be extended up to six years if your employer wish to extend your stay.
H1B visas can be issued to eligible Professionals in any field. But in general more number of H1b Visas are issued to IT/Software professionals (approx 70 % ) as the demand for them is more from among the US businesses.

Licencing Essentials
These are essential criteria for all practical purposes.
- The Medical school should be recognized and listed in the world directory of medical schools.
- The applicant should after graduation be able to obtain a license to practice in the country where the medical school is located.
- All candidates must pass a series of licensing exams conducted by USMLE (The United States Medical Licensing Examination)
- Step 1 ( Basic medical sciences),
- Step 2 ( clinical sciences) and English test and also pass the CSA (clinical skills assessment) component.
ECFMG (Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates)
There should be completion of all requirements for, and receipt of, the final diploma, and ECFMG (Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates) should have verification of credentials from the applicant's medical school. The standard ECFMG certificate can be issued only if the applicant meets all these requirements. The applicant is eligible to apply for a residency only after obtaining this certificate.
